Some unexpected snow fell. I guess if you see it every day in winter it's not too exciting, but in April it seems pretty fascinating as trees and flowers are blooming with the previous warm weather. I drove to this spot probably 5 different mornings in the past month in hopes to get a shot. I had high hopes this morning because of the unusual weather conditions. Too walk in a fresh snow covered forest is one the most beautiful things. If you haven't you must! It's definitely not the first time I have experienced doing so but it seemed like the coolest thing this time around. I set up my camera as close to the ground as I could. There was a slight breeze that picked up and the snow from the trees fell on the new ice that formed on the water. It was like powdered sugar falling from the sky haha. There was a good looking rock out in the middle of the water that I needed to get to. My first attempt I walked around to the other side of the water so my path wouldn't be shown through the ice. I came back and thought of walking straight out to the rock from the camera to show my path. When I got out there I noticed the sun shining on the trees and decided to wait about 10 minutes for more light to come through. It was amazing! It was another moment I couldn't believe I was part of.
